Problem: Law&Order/Religion - Gay Marriage 11/13/09 Should gays and lesbians be allowed to marry? Gays and lesbians should be allowed to marry because of separation of church and state. Solution: They should be able to have the same rights as anyone else when it comes to marriage. I don't think that there should be a law or anything or the sort that prevents people from marrying who they want. Even if a person doesn't agree with that and thinks that it is wrong, they shouldn't condemn others for feeling a certain way. Problem: Religion- Gay Marriage 11/13/09 Legalizing gay marriage would cause difficulties or legal issues for religious institutions if a gay couple wanted to get married in a church. Solution: Only allow gay marriages to take place in city halls or non-religious institutions. Perspective: Catholic Would like to participate in the expansion of Building Blocks? No
Problem: Religion 11/12/09 Religion being used as a means of social, ethical, & moral excuse. Religion is consistently being used as a means of excuse, whether it be over issues such as gay rights or abortion rights. Solution: If people actually judged the issue for its worth, instead of approaching it with a moral sentiment attatched, the solution to the proposed problem will be solved at a much more productive and efficient rate. Perspective: Politically Moderate. No religious affiliation. Name: Megan Turner Would like to participate in the expansion of Building Blocks? Yes
